Royal Rangers 23rd Council of Achievement |

| For
the first time, the Royal Rangers held their Council of Achievement at
Pusat Activiti Calvary in Damansara Perdana. The event began with a time
of food and fellowship at 4.15pm prepared by the parents before
adjourning to the sanctuary for the ceremony. A total of 244 parents and
friends joined the Royal Rangers to recognize the Rangers for their
achievements in the first half of the year. |

The ceremony began with an action song “He’s
Got The Whole World” presented by the Ranger Kids (6 to 8 years). This
was followed by a time of Praise and Worship lead by Junior Commander
Justin Tiew. |

| This was followed
by a skit by the Discovery Rangers (9 to 11 years) entitled “The Three
Wise Men” about an alien coming to earth looking for God. After asking
all the wise men on earth, the alien finds in answer from a Royal
Ranger. |

Ranger Hansel Wong shared a report on their Backpacking Expedition to
Endau Rompin in June with photographs that got the audience admiring the
pristine environment of the national park. |
|
The 4-day trip was the culmination of months
of work to earn the Advance Backpacking Merit.
Our Chaplain, Associate Pastor Steven Kum
was in attendance to share the devotion encouraging both parents and
Rangers that even as we recognize the Rangers for their good work, God
is faithful and rewards us with many blessings. He also recognized all
the Commanders for all their faithful service. The Adventure Rangers (12
to 14 years) presented a skit based on “Jonah and the Big Fish”. |

The moment the Rangers were waiting for had
arrived. Starting with the Ranger Kids, and followed by the Discovery
Rangers, the Rangers were recognized for the |

merits and advancements they had earn. Before continuing with the award
ceremony for the Adventure Rangers and Expedition Rangers, the
Expedition Rangers (15 to 17 years) presented a skit entitled “To pay or
Not” about a Ranger who perseveres in spite of persecution. |

| Two Expedition
Rangers received National recognition for their advancements Hansel Wong
earned the Bronze Medal and Lam Kah Leong earn the Silver Medal, moving
a step closed to the Gold Medal of Achievement. Commanders Jasslyn Chan,
Jonathan Lim, Justin Tiew, Lam Kah Meng, Stephanie Kok and Timothy Lee
were also recognized for completing the Ranger Basics leadership
training. A total of 340 merits and advancements were presented to 116
Rangers. |
